Missing : Emily Lu

On June 3rd, 2021, 72-year old woman, Emily Lu, disappeared from the state of Virginia. She was last seen on surveillance in an Aldi in Woodbridge, but the case doesn’t stop there. Evidence of foul play, potential suspects, and possible leads to what happened have been established by law enforcement, leaving us all asking: what happened?

The first episode of Cracking the Case, a true crime podcast created by four ASP students in New Hampshire, tracks the different angles of Lu’s case as it currently stands. From her work experience in computer science and volunteering, to her family life and her daughter, Jennifer Ball, there’s a multiplicity of sides to her story. This episode focuses on how the Virginia police are handling the situation and what the citizens of Lorton themselves are doing to cope, including utilizing the media to spread word of her disappearance.
