Student Writers:

Max Aframe

When Max isn’t grinding out his next article for the Mass Media blog post you can find him crushing wiffle balls in the quad. Max also enjoys hanging out with the boys at ManTown and watching his beloved Red Sox. He is fueled by a diet of coffee and ramen.

Ansel Barclay

A creative personality, Ansel enjoys videography and photography, when not playing soccer or skiing out on the slopes in the Mount Washington Valley. Currently residing in Manville, he is looking forward to writing stories and getting student perspectives on different topics. Outside of the ASP, in the summer Ansel sails the seas of Silver Lake in Madison on his pirate ship.

Megan Brieger

When Megan is not in Mass Media or playing tennis she is obsessing over every single dog on campus, especially Milton. When not at ASP she loves to go to the beach and play basketball with her friends. But the most important thing in her life is pasta, and she will never stop feeding that addiction.

Juliet Chehade

When Juliet isn’t practicing top-notch journalism, she enjoys playing guitar and making sarcastic remarks. You can regularly find her watching either the sunset or Netflix. She likes chocolate, and is neurotic (but in an endearing way).

Matthew Desrochers

Matthew is a student at Concord High School. In his free time he likes birdwatching, taste testing his girlfriend’s cooking, hiking (particularly in the White Mountains), reading, and being snobby about all things coffee. You can find him by the chapel reading early in the morning, taking a scenic walk around the pond, or telling someone that they aren’t ‘getting the real experience’ of drinking coffee if they aren’t grinding their beans before brewing.

Adra Gonzalez

Adra, also known as #14 of the Brewster dorm, is a sweatpants loving dancer and drummer. In her free time at the ASP you can find her sitting on the left couch in the Brewster common room. If she is not there, she’s most likely getting food. She can also be seen following cats around the campus while repeating the phrase, “Can I pet you?”

Maura Harty

Maura is from the Brewster House. When she isn’t practicing guitar with the second-floor-trio or working out with the non-athletic-athletic-club, she’s probably trying to convince all of Brewster to watch the Dead Poets Society with her. She’s a theater kid and candy enthusiast with a pathological fear of cats. Her talents include being able to recite the Gettysburg Address and mis-hearing everything at the most inopportune times.

Ellie Hornkohl

Ellie runs on carrots and hummus. She enjoys going to bed early and watching the sunrise. You can find her on the lacrosse field, on the lake, or hittin’ the slopes during the school year. On campus, when she isn’t hanging out with the Brewster Roosters, she is hard at work in the library, and downing cups of black coffee.

Anne McIntosh

Evan Power

Evan is a big Boston sports fan, with his two favorites being the Patriots and the Celtics. He usually watches the games with his dogs Sage and Buster, who also happen to share his passion for chicken tenders. While he’s here, if he isn’t chasing a story, you can probably find him playing wiffle ball with the rest of Manville in the Quad, swimming, or working off those chicken tenders.

Caroline Snyder

Caroline is an avid cat enthusiast from Newmarket, NH, who also happens to love writing and journalism. When she isn’t in Mass Media or her role as #13 in the Brewster dorm, you can find her rowing, swimming, spending time with friends, reading, writing stories and poetry, and creating copious amounts of Spotify playlists (that she’ll most likely never actually listen to). She is also at least mildly obsessed with iced coffee and Taylor Swift.

Becca Spear

Becca fuels her cottagecore obsession by wearing florals whenever possible and drinking copious amounts of tea with honey. When not on the job for Mass Media, she is probably listening to King Princess while studying in her Brewster dorm or doing miserably at Recreational Rock Wall due to her very short wingspan. Any free time is filled by hiking, weight lifting, sketching, and writing poetry.

Cassie Zick

If you want to get on Cassie’s good side, give her a large cup of coffee to feed her evident caffeine addiction. Being a Brewster resident, she spends time reading in the quad, stressing about her indecisiveness about a future career, and exercising for fun? Don’t worry, we’re also questioning her sanity. Some of her favorites include self-help books, debating, and movies that make her cry.

Editors-in-Chief

Pierce Ellinwood

Pierce is the Master Teacher of Mass Media, Kingsley’s dad, and an avid fan of the “Earth and All Stars” chapel hymn.

Tyler Aubin

Tyler is a senior at UNH studying Technical Theatre and Education. He enjoys going hiking with his dog Darcy. He can often be found scrolling through weird history memes and then showing said memes to his friends who wish he would stop showing them bad memes. When Tyler is not walking with his dog or showing his friends bad history memes he can be found climbing in the rafters of theatres screaming along to Avril Lavigne’s “Sk8er Boi’

Jason Frank

Jason is a current Mass Media intern, former Forbidden Fictions student, and future Pulitzer Prize winner (at least that’s what his mom says). He attends Brandeis University where he studies Cultural Anthropology with a pop cultural focus and where he accidentally picked up a minor in Queer and Sexuality Studies. His favorite book is Betty Smith’s “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn,” his favorite album is Charli XCX’s “Pop 2,”his and favorite food is Goat’s “Cheese.”
